Merry Christmas, everyone. :)

Today went quite well, I think, for my family and I. Got a couple of gifts and I had fun playing my cousin's iphone and DS Lite the entire day. There was frankly nothing much to do besides that; the adults were either playing mahjong or talking, and the babies (aged 5 and under) were shrieking and running about by themselves. I just sat on the couch all day playing mostly the iphone until the battery was flat. :X There were six babies, including my brother, so you can imagine the racket. We were all like, "Go to the 3rd floor to play!" but they insisted on running about where everyone was. But I think it's a healthy kind of racket for a family gathering, considering we only see each other a few times in a year.

Dinner at mom's friend's place tomorrow evening. Hmm. I want to sigh but it might seem unseemly. Us teenagers are always feeling out of place in places filled with adults and their babies.

(I wish I could get 6 hot korean boys in a box filled with balloons :/)

(will be edited again when I get back from unofficial hiatus)

Meanwhile I'll just leave this here and head off cos I'm really tired ;_;

“Didn't I say before, we only believe in one thing, and that is the 5 of us will stay as #TVXQ till the end."
- Kim Jaejoong (Youngwoong Jaejoong, Hero)

Finally managed to get #TVXQ top on trending topics, I love the boys + cassies ;') obviously this definitely made my christmas so special, was totally tweeting like mad! Plus it really made me happy to see like other fanclubs were helping (I saw twooneday/elfs/wonderfuls), plus all the tweets about DBSk weren't like "#TVXQ #TVXQ #TVXQ" over and over again, but like heartfelt words from fans, all around the world (the world of twitter haha) And since it's already 26th december which makes it double special for the boys! Rather ironic that DBSK day was on 23 December, haha. Why didn't they make it on 26th T_T but anyway, HAPPY 6TH ANNIVERSARY DBSK/DBSGTVXQ/TVfXQ/Tohoshinki/東方神起/동방신기 ♥ It's like god's gift to the world, 1 day after christmas, on boxing day. Someone please send me Kim Jaejoong in a box :(

Okay, I'm really off now, be back....as soon as I get unlazy.

Love you all, xoxo.

...is a new laptop, Cascada's album, more cds, more clothing, more accessories, more shoes, more books and most of all, more money. Don't think I'll be able to get all that. Jeez. :/

Bought Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain and Alien. 8D
126 and counting. Urgh. It's taking forever to even reach 150.

[EDIT]
YAY BOOKED CHICAGO THE MUSICAL FOR A, XN AND I ON THE 1ST OF MAY 2010!!
Awesomeeeee. :D :D
And I seriously can't wait, I mean, I loved the movie and I think the stage one will be as good or even better (!).
Plus we got really good seats at a really good day at a really good timing at a really good price. :D
Everything is turning out just right... for my yearn to watch Chicago I mean.

It sucks not knowing what the ending would be, unlike books, unlike movies.

It's Christmas eve. I've been in quite a Christmassy mood lately. Must be the songs and all the Christmas offers.
Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock...

I had intended to watch Love Actually tonight, but the DVD is for region 1, and my com is set permanently to region 3 so it wouldn't play. Tried downloading the free trial for a DVD code breaker but I realised that my free trial has ended. So I switched to watching Becoming Jane, but in the end my realplayer just hanged. I guess I wasn't fated to watch any movie tonight. Just when I was in the mood to watch a romantic film. :/ The com can be such a b*tch sometimes.

Just to pass time, I'm gonna make my top 10 current music on my playlist. There are some songs and singers that I listen to all the time, but this is just a list for the songs that I listen to the most lately.

Current music on my playlist
1) Celine Dion - Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore (this is like forever on my playlist, lol)
2) Leona Lewis - A Moment Like This
3) Susan Boyle - Wild Horses (the tune is just eerily addictive, plus SB sings it SO well)
4) Leona Lewis - I See You (Avatar!!)
5) Orianthi - According To You
6) Cascada - Hold Your Hands Up
7) Alison Krauss - Baby, Now That I've Found You
8) Ne-Yo - Never Knew I Needed
9) JLS - Everybody In Love
10) Susumu Hirasawa - Runner (the tune is catchy and cute, not to mention very refreshing)

So yeah, my current top 10. I'm pretty sure they'll change in a few days (except no. 1), but for now they stay.

We just received a parcel from my mom's friend who is currently living in New York (like every other Christmas). This year, we got a Little Einsteins DVD box-set (for my bro of course), Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince DVD, Julie & Julia DVD (TG I haven't bought it), some clothing, a box of Snyder's mini pretzels, a box of Pepperidge Farm cookies, and a couple of packets of chocolates such as Hershey's kisses and such. How nice of her and her family. (: Now we have more chocolates whoo~ 8D

Just revamped the rewards that my dad will give if I get a scholarship after the A Levels. Initially it was a family trip, where I get to choose where we all go, which was going to be Vancouver since my parents hold sentimental value for that place. But now my dad says that he can't take long distance flights so no going to any place that requires more than about 8 hours on the plane. Which means I'll probably choose Australia instead. However I made my dad promise a trip for me to anywhere I want to go. Meaning I get to go anywhere in the world that I want to, with whoever I want, say friends or etc. I'll probably choose somewhere like New York City (Broadway!) or Paris or something. Kind of a better deal than before, 'cause now I get two trips instead of one.

Guess I'll just have to work extra hard the moment school starts. Another brand new start and I want it to be a good one. :)

Yay I'm back. What a relief. I was beginning to feel really annoyed about sleeping on the hard Seahorse mattress on the floor with only a blanket and nothing else. Just 'cause I'm the teenager, I get to sleep on the floor whenever there is not enough room. I understand why but it's just horrid sleeping on such a hard mattress when it is ironically supposed to be a firm and good one.

Anyway, the trip was okay. Spent the journey there and back in the car relaxing to Celine Dion, Susan Boyle, Sarah McLachlan and Alanis Morissette to name a few. At least there was some shopping and it was quite relaxed. Bought a couple of things, including an umbrella (you know, the kind with the hard bottle-like cover) and a lamp. Got the umbrella just for fun actually, 'cause I know it's impractical with that hard cover but it's nice haha. The lamp... I call it (him) Dick. You'll understand why.

Dick :D (turned on ;])

The lamp is for fun too. Saw it in SG before but it's way over priced here.

You'd be surprised but the cosmetics there is more expensive.

I went to two of their CD shops in hope of getting some movies but seriously, the range of English movies there is so limited. I think I have more English movies at home than the number of movies they sell there. I wanted to get the Alien DVD but I could only find Alien³ and Alien: Resurrection. That sucked. Guess I'll just have to get it over here, with a ton of other movies that I want that are hard to find, regardless of the country, with exception to maybe USA.

Going out the next few days too; most likely watching Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel with my sis soon. Even though the ratings for Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel are extremely low, 1) who cares when you're dealing with a couple of chipmunks and 2) they are SO cute.

I need to visit HMV soon. It's the place other than my room that I feel most happy, almost like how my mom feels when she goes to NTUC. -.-

Oh oh, the overall rating for Avatar on imdb has increased to 8.9/10! That is #$%^$!#@ amazing. It's like the #21 movie in all of American film history as of now. I think probably because of the visual effects. When you watch the behind-the-scenes, you'd be like how-did-they-friggin'-do-that kind of thing. Simply mind-blowing.

p.s. My cousin has returned me my The Devil Wears Prada (after a year)!! Now no one owes me any CDs. Awesomee.

[EDIT]
Just watched Heartbreakers on youtube. Finally, a comedy that can match A Fish Called Wanda. Heartbreakers was, in one word, hilarious. And it has a unique plot, as far as I know. I like movies like that. Just watch and laugh, don't need to think too much into it. And yet it's not the kind filled with cheap thrills that leaves you feeling retarded.

Sis is in her room watching a Korean drama. Guess I still haven't been bitten by the Korean-pop/drama bug. Although it's hard to say, I hope I don't ever get hooked to K-pop. One thing I'm certain though, I'll never get hooked to any drama or tv series. With the exception of 30 Rock.

Sometimes i have this dilemma on whether to tweet or to blog. But yknw the tweet thing so short, i must use like 5 tweets to say everything, so i might as well blog.

Anyway, i'm like really hungry now. It's 1.44 am in the morning, and i'm still here.
I'm sure this week will be niceeeee and eventful, so busy, like everyday! teehee:>

I want to watch Avatar, why doesn't anyone wanna watch it. And tomorrow i bet zoey won't watch it with me cause she like watches everything on the day it comes out or something. Heee, haven't seen her in ages.

Can't wait for carols by candlelight yay!

Talking to sueann today was like so funny, she makes me laugh like mad!!
"My gawd, you know B* called me today!? Okay of course you don't know. I'm telling you."
Okkk i think it's damn funny, i laughed like mad. Continueeeeee..
"Then i picked up her call, Unfortunately. And she went on and on for like 5 mins, i had to sit down."
HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHH omgz i almost died.

Then omg i was asking her how njc was, i mean the guys and stuff la!
"OMG ew the guys are like shit. Like Cow dung ok!"
HAHAHAH and i thought you know, character wise and stuff. and she went..
"WOAH after PE when they step into the classroom, i tell you, cannot breathe la!"
HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH WTF, SHE ACTUALLY MEANT IT LIKE LITERALLY. omg i laughed for like.. 5 mins.

HAHAHAHA omg i still laugh when i read the convo.
Anyway, i can imagine how awkward the class gathering will be. Alex is away )): and i think the only normal people there would be me and sueann. sighz i still wanna see how much people have changed though.

I want 23 to come now. I hope you go for carolzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Teehee.
I'm hungry, i should sleep. WIll sleeping take away hunger?

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiii yay it's good to be home.
Omg this trip was like.. so adventurous, so many things happened!

So my dad dragged our entire family to manado cause he wanted to scubaaaa dive, nothing much to do there, so i just swam around and tanned. 1 week there, then off to KL, where we missed our flight -.- So we ended up staying another night in manado, 5 star hotel whoo, then flew to jakarta the next morning, then to KL. It's quite a catastrophe to take off & land like 4 times in 10 days. Anyway, then at KL, our hotel room got voided cause we didn't turn up the previous night. HAHAHAHAHAH plus they were like fully booked when we arrived, best. So we were like roomless seriously. Ok we found some kind of shelter in the end, pretty decent. Shopped ate shopped mmmmm :> On the way back today, our coach got stuck at the woodlands immigration cause 4 indians didn't have their freaking visa, losers. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH nice right my holiday! ^^ So much excitement heeheee.

Yayeeee my jelly cam is here, i want to use it!! But i don't exactly know how, oh well, i'll figure something out tomorrow.

I totally envy everyone who went for church camp! ): I miss everyone at church! carols by candlelight whoo! 27 dec whoooooo!!

Ok need to reply texts now.

Btw, i just ordered + made payment for a bag i think i shouldn't have bought. Cause i just saw another nicer one, jeeeeeeeeeez.

today was a pretty good day. met the sistas at rail mall in the morning. heh okay sorry i was late. anws i dont think i want to eat the fishball noodles there ever again. wasn't veh nice. haha. then we just walked around, looked at dvds to rent and bought stuffs. omg i can't wait for the sleepover!! whoo it'll be so fun!! :D:D:D:D:D

okay then i went home to bathe then went out with family to eat lunch. ate as aston's at suntec. hahaha! cheap and good and filling. then walked around for long long time until it was time for our movie! we watched avatar in 3D. okay lar the movie was not bad. but i couldn't understand the beginning of the movie. luckily it got better, if not i'll be like my brother. after the movie, don't understand anything. waste money. so ex summore cause in 3D. yeah the graphics were quite cool. but the specs thingy hurt my nose bridge so much. HAHA. i ate a mars bar! so i'm a happy kid. hahaha i love it, though i love boost more. but mars bars are still good! cho only likes the fried ones -.- funny how we were talking bout them in the morning and i ended up eating one in the evening.

after movie went to the nus guildhouse place thingy to eat. the food there is really good. but i was like quite full, so didn't eat much. then went home.

now i'm watching the soccer game between man u and fullham. kns horrible luh the man u. haha. i'm prolly gonna sleep at 3am today cause i kinda promised my brother i'll watch the arsenal game with him.

sigh why is bernice not in singapore!! want to go westmall with her tmr. hahah oh wells, i'll just see if i can go with my brother. lol. oh and my ahmah is so cute. she got worried cause she thought that my results had been released. but actually it's only the N levels. HAHA.

for now, i got no more shows to watch. sian. hi anyone want to help me change my lj skin thingy? cause i don't know how to :) i'll be reallyyyy nice to you! thanks! :D

WTH IT JUST BECAME 3-0 TO FULLHAM. WHAT IS THIS.

thanks to my dad, i have this sudden urge to listen to taylor swift songs again. that is not good.

I'm getting way too excited over It's Complicated. After all, there's still about a month to go till its release, and by then we would've gotten our results. Who knows after seeing my results I might just completely give up going to the movies out of depression. :\

You know, the top three actresses that I like are all 60 and above. Dawned on me yesterday. What's with me.

[EDIT]
If I ever go to poly, it'll be for the media course. But of course the chance of me doing that is 0%.

Going to Malacca tomorrow till Tues. Honestly I feel quite sian. There's nothing to do there anyway. The food may be nice but I don't feel that SG lacks in any way. Hardly any nice shopping mall there too.

[EDIT][EDIT]
Watched Fatal Attraction for the first time. It wasn't scary but certainly a thriller. The boiled bunny part was freaky though. I think all guys should watch this. Then maybe they'd think twice about cheating their wives.
Good thing I didn't watch with my parents. Watching M18 movies with them just makes me feel weird, even though they are fine with it.

19 December 2009 @ 09:58 pm
I'm beginning to find the holidays very boring. Staying at home will only result in my mom making me do housework, which sucks; I'd rather study than do housework. Going out is starting to get less fun since I can't buy anything. Not really can't, but I just don't feel like buying another book or bag or shoe or accessory, after spending like mad the past few weeks. The only thing I'm willing to spend on is CDs and movies. But then the thought of writing another Chinese essay again just freaks me, so I don't know if I want the holidays to be over or not. Just wish I could find something worth the while to do, like take up a language or something. The only thing holding me back is the cost of the courses. They are freaking insane.

Went to Cafe Cartel for lunch today. The lunch sucked. The soup tasted just like Campbell soup and the spaghetti in onion sauce tastes like hor fun or something. Seriously. Not going back there ever again.

After lunch I uh... watchedAvataragainbutnotin3D. :X Since my sis wants to watch it and I'm dying to watch it again and we both still have 3 GV tickets left, we decided to go for it. Even though it is my second time, the visual effects still blew me away. And I got to know some details that I missed out yesterday. Whenever I watch a movie for the first time, I tend to miss out some details. So watching Avatar the second time was good. Very good. Although I think different people have differing responses and feelings towards Avatar after watching it. I overheard a teenage girl (the typical slightly lian type with ultra short shorts) commenting that it was lame, whereas a caucasian guy sitting diagonally in front of me was clapping his hands when the credits were on roll. So I guess not everyone will enjoy Avatar. But I personally like it very much. Especially after learning how to use a bit of Adobe Premiere and editing some videos, I know the pains of editing. I can't fathom how they did Avatar and would love to see the behind-the-scenes.

hahaha hi! mok just reminded me today that i haven't blogged in a long time! honestly i kinda forgot bout blogging. hey but at least i'm here now! and i don't intend to give up on this blog just yet:) imma try to keep it alive for as long as i can okay. maybe i have a pathetic readership of bout 3 people? but whatever makes me happy!

morning went for training. eewww i think i saw 2 fishes mating! ultimate scary. i'm traumatised for life!!! yeah we like just played game. yeah quite fun. but the field was super muddy.  after that me and mokster went to 313@somerset (they spell it liddat right? tryna act cool and hip luh totally) to have long john's! cause she said she long time no eat, and i also realised that i haven't had it in a long time. and also cause we're quite broke. since it fit our criteria for choosing our lunch, we went there. just sat there till like 3.15 i think. talk nonsense. haha.

then we went to the bus stop to see what bus i could take to jurong east! apparently no bus from town goes to jurong? why ah?? isn't jurong east interchange like the place where buses should go to? cause it's at the intersection of the red and green mrt lines? HAHA makes sense doesn't it! so she just told me to take bus to clementi interchange then take mrt ONE stop to jurong. aye i didn't know any other way to get there so i just heeded her suggestion. lol. i was supposed to take bus 7 cause it seemed like it had the shortest route. but when bus 14 came, i thought "since it also ends up at clementi anws, i might as well just take it. cause either way i still have to waste time waiting for 7 to come". so i boarded the bus. during the journey, i was so worried that i was going towards the other end of singapore cause i went to weirdo places that i didn't recognise! the bus trip ended up taking bout 45mins, which resulted in me feeling a little motion sickness. urgh.

so met cho at jurong mrt station, took shuttle bus that i didn't know existed to imm to meet lynette. then jiya came like 5-10mins after that. walked around, talked nonsense. concluded that lynette should name her future daughter veda. became number 1 public nuisance as usual cause we laughed and talked so loudly. went to daiso and saw lotsa cool cheap stuffs. then headed to pepper lunch for dinner! there, we continued laughing and talking really loudly, laughing at everything that seemed even a little hilarious. even jeremy -.- oh wells, we had fun.

eat finish, take shuttle bus back to jurong mrt, finally met the one and only TOTO (lynette was being an embarrassing loser). conned lynette to walk to the bus stop outside of bukit batok mrt to take the same bus as us. but when another bus that jiya and i could take arrived first, we just ran onto it, leaving a sad and lonely lynette standing at the bus stop in the darkness, pondering her fate. HAHA okay stop with the drama-mama. yeah well, let's have a leetle extract from jiya's blog to detail the situation since i'm too lazy to type everything out and the way she blogs is just so hilarious.

NC-16! contains mature content.  )

wow this was a long post!(with a little help from jiya) softball camp from monday to tuesday. won't be here. so till next time, NIGHT! :)

First of all, thank you A, for the most awesomez presents! :D
And for that, you get a poem written by yours truly in the past, okay, twenty minutes. xD (hey writing a poem ain't easy okay! LOL)

For A
It’s been four years since we met
Years filled with joy and maybe, regret
Happy, proud, scared and upset
You’ve been there when I felt all that
We’re like this funny duet
Doing and getting things others will never get
What you’ve done for me I’ll never forget
Even though we'll go our separate ways, darling you know what?

It’s not over yet. :)

And on my table, like you said. :D

Okay yeah, back to today.
Went out with XN and ZH again haha. :)
We initially wanted to have our lunch inside the cinema (secretly) but decided to have lunch before the movie instead so we went to Fish and Co. for lunch. It's my first time eating there 'cause my parents are almost always against Western food. -.- I feel like some mountain turtle. :/ I thought the fish and chips there was the best fish and chips I have ever had. Honestly. And the pumpkin soup was tasty too. Definitely going back there someday soon.

Then it was Avatar in 3D. My third movie of the week, Avatar is by far the best movie of the three that I have watched. It is a bit of everything: action, romance and fantasy. Even though the movie is nearly 3 hours long, I was spellbound throughout the entire movie (except for the times that I went to the loo) and felt that every minute in the movie was essential. Not the most original plot but who cares, the visual effects alone are worth the money. It is unbelievable, how they did it. Must've taken a long time. I think Avatar and Pocahontas parallel in certain aspects. For example the Na'Vi (blue creatures in Avatar) are like the Native Americans, both a fragile existence that believe in harmony with Mother Earth. Also in both films humans that are the destructive ones, ruining the clan/ tribe for mining purposes. Of course Avatar has a much more complicated plot. The only person I recognise in Avatar was Sigourney Weaver, who I thought did pretty well. :) Aye, I'm getting so distracted from trying to do so many things at one go. Shall end this now haha. Anyway, Avatar was awesome so watch it. :D The more I think about it, the more I feel like watching it again. :P

Went around Ion after that, then to 313. You know, I think it is a sign that when I went to HMV at 313, the machine/ head set that was supposed to play Susan Boyle's new album was screwy. For all you know, after listening to her songs, I might have gone to purchase the disc, and that would have been an absolute disaster, wouldn't it? Since it's my x'mas present from A. Haha. It's like a sign from some sort of existence. Or jut sheer coincidence. Whatever it is, I'm glad the machine didn't work. x)

[EDIT]
1.15am now. Just finished watching Working Girl. Sometimes after watching too many recent movies, I have this urge to watch an old movie. Which I did. So refreshing, and I always liked Working Girl.
